| In the 1990's, Novalogic began a series of FPS games based on fictitious characters named The Delta Force. The series of games was such a hit, the US Army used the games for some of their special troops training. Here in these games squad play was born. Early on it was friends getting together of like mind to play what they loved to play. Soon it grew to leagues and ladders with prizes and trophies. | |

During the second installment of the series in 1999 there was a squad named Blade Runners. One of their members, Sapper, recruited a player named Jackalo. Soon the two created a great friendship together and along with a third member became the focal point of BR. New squads it seemed were being formed daily as more and more players became aware of FPS gameplay and were jumping into the fray. After a couple of months of playing on BR it became apparent when an old member returned and personality conflicts arose that Jak and Sap take their show elsewhere. Jak, Sap and Oxy decided to start a new squad and they named it XpertWarriors. |

This new squad needed a leader and Jak was the obvious choice. His relaxed demeanor and mild mannerisms quickly rose to the top in clutch situations. Sap would just do what he does best, kill. Along with Tony, Jak and Sap began to build a juggernaut. Players always love to play alongside great players, we all know why. XW quickly attracted great players with their strong play and great shooting abilities. In time most of BR broke up and came over to XW during the third installment, Land Warrior. |

In Land Warrior, XW was a machine. XW built the foundation of it's heritage in this game, and that heritage is match play. Some of the best squads in the history of Novalogic were present. Squads like Firefighters, Crosshairs, BMF, SAW were matching against XW seemingly daily. To this day Jak and Sap still talk of some of those battles. XW learned early on to never give up, a trait that is instilled in every player that wears the .xw tag. To be the best you have to play the best and XW always played the best team in the game. Along with playing the best change will occur and new games are no exception. Land Warrior is giving way to Task Force Dagger and XW will move on with the game. |

TFD was a let-down after the truly great game Land Warrior, but change is good or is it? Although XW continued to match and play the game religiously, it just didn't have the fire or the enthusiasm that the previous titles offered. Again, a new game is on the horizon and XW is always tuned and this time it just happens to be the biggest blockbuster of all---Black Hawk Down. |

This game was so huge that XW left TFD to start playing BHD in the demo stage. After picking up some more shooters this is where XW began to make it's run in the FPS gaming world. From it's strong background XW gained notoriety quickly but for a price. Playing the best always takes it's toll and XW was no exception. Personality conflicts arose, mainly due to dedication to match play and teamwork, and XW went through some lean months in 2003 when the squad was down to a core group of six players. Those six held on to the belief of the squad and stayed the course, setting XW up for a very memorable and important time in XW history. From the dissolution of the Brew Crew, XW absorbed a great deal of important players that propelled XW the only way it could go, up. Squads such as DFR, DFL, EVO, SAW, BMF, 1MD were all present for the great matches that XW enjoyed playing. |

Even bigger than BHD, was Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising, the next installment in Novalogic games. Here XW takes match play to new heights. Another important moment is unfolding in XW lore as our strong friendships again pays big dividends when we pick up most all of EVO's great players when the brass decides to finally close shop on one of BHD's greatest squads. Along with Brew Crew's best and now EVO's top team, the leadership at XW was poised for a ride. Soon we expanded our roster to twenty five steady players which enabled us to conduct intra-squad practices that honed our skills. From these closed walk-through's game breaking strategies were born, never to be unleashed until our match. Teamwork and communication is key as we all know. Execution of the teamwork and communication is where a squad is measured and any squad that has the opportunity to match XW knows that we can deliver the goods. Some squads never made it to the next day after a match with XW. A couple handed us our butts, but we always learned from our mistakes and put that knowledge to work. |

From the time the leadership quit playing JO, the number of members has gone up considerably. We tried BF2 but most of the squad thought it was too much like work. COD2 hit the shelves and was more our style of play, a shooter's game. XW's leadership dove into COD2 at full throttle taking one fourth of the squad with it as it rose to the top quickly in a game seemingly in a different genre. These "clans" had been playing the COD series for 3-4 years and ruled in the match ladders before we stepped up. XW showed once again it's versatility and willingness to adapt as we left our mark in yet another game climbing to the top five in a couple of TWL ladders. Even though we wear our tags behind our name (a novalogic tradition) and refer to ourselves as a squad, we gained respect from all clans. |

After the COD 2 fad began to fade, members began to explore other games, such as Warrock while many of our members returned to Joint Operations. When Call of Duty 4 hit the streets, XW leadership made a decision to devote full attention to this game. Most members fully engaged in this movement and XW once again entered into competition in the TWL ladders. |
